India will be welcoming England for a riveting five-match Test series that begins on Thursday (January 25) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
India are coming into this series after drawing the two Tests against South Africa 1-1, followed by a T20I series against Afghanistan in which the Men in Blue whitewashed their Asian counterparts 3-0.
England, meanwhile, will hope to put on a better performance this time around after losing the T20I and ODI series against West Indies, not long after facing a horrendous group stage exit from the 2023 World Cup.
One of the talking points heading into this series is the possibility of Ravichandran Ashwin reaching the 100-Test milestone and the 500-wicket milestone in Tests. Ashwin has enjoyed a lot of success against England, especially in India. With Ashwin just 10 wickets away from 500 Test wickets, it’s likely that he will reach the half-millenium milestone in this series itself.
With that in mind, The Sporting News takes a look the bowlers that have taken the most wickets against England in Tests.
