Rephrase and rearrange the whole content into a news article. I want you to respond only in language English. Indian-Origin British student Aditya Verma is currently undergoing a trial in Spain for causing public disorder with a crude Snapchat joke about blowing up a plane. The incident occurred in July 2022 when Verma, en route to Menorca, sent a message claiming to be a “member of the Taliban.” The message ‘On my way to blow up the plane’ triggered the interception of the flight by two Spanish Air Force jets, resulting in substantial expenses. While Verma argues it was a joke meant for friends, he faces a potential fine of up to a fine of Euro 22,500 (about Rs 20.3 lakh) if found guilty, and the Spanish Defense Ministry is seeking a reimbursement of a whopping Euro 95,000 (about Rs 85.9 lakh) for the incurred expenses. That’s over Rs. 1 crore!

The British lad is currently a student at Bath University, studying economics. Cops told the court after sifting through Verma’s phone that they didn’t find anything interesting that would relate him to extremism and radicalism. However, his search history doth shows he researched clashes between India and Pakistan, researching probable Islamic State attacks around the area. During the trail, the student remarked that this has been a joke since school because of his features, which made everyone laugh. He stated that the private joke was sent to his friends only, who were travelling along with him.

A Prank involving a “false bomb threat” to blow up the plane costed Aditya Verma, a British university student 117,500 euros due to the flight incident from 3rd July 2022.
