BLACKPINK Set to Make History with First-Ever Virtual Reality (VR) Concert Experience
K-Pop sensation BLACKPINK is all set to impact the world with its first-ever virtual reality (VR) concert experience, “BLACKPINK: A VR Encore,” available exclusively on Meta Quest.
This immersive concert, produced by The Diamond Bros in collaboration with Meta, promises an unforgettable experience for fans, providing them with a unique first-person perspective that brings them closer to the heart of Seoul.
The 70-minute special captures the essence of BLACKPINK’s sold-out Born Pink World Tour finale at the Gocheok Sky Dome. Iconic hits like “How You Like That,” “You & Me,” and “Pink Venom” will be featured during the virtual concert.
The group sees the VR concert as an extension of the tour and expressed their excitement about embracing the dynamic world of VR. META’s VP of Metaverse, Vishal Shah, emphasized how artists like BLACKPINK are transforming the music industry.
Scheduled to debut in VR on December 26 at 5 p.m. PT, fans can RSVP to the event and experience the excitement firsthand. The VR experience will be available for Meta Quest owners with the replay available in Meta’s virtual Worlds the following month.
Apart from BLACKPINK’s VR show, Meta Horizon Worlds will also host a series of weekly concerts in collaboration with iHeartRadio and Red Rocks. This immersive concert series will feature acts like Alison Wonderland, Louis the Child, Santa Fe Klan, Tyler Childers, and ZHU performing at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
