Rephrase the title:’He’s absolutely ruthless’ – Nasser Hussain says Virat Kohli’s return will make India ruthless in the final three Tests against England

On Monday, India wrapped up the second Test against England at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium in Visakhapatnam, winning by 106 runs to level the series.

Bet here on India vs England and other cricket matches!

England had taken a 1-0 lead in the series by winning in Hyderabad, and the absence of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul, along with Virat Kohli’s continued leave, meant India had to fight hard to ensure they did not concede a 2-0 lead.

Their victory was built largely on individual brilliance, as Yashasvi Jaiswal (209), Jasprit Bumrah (6/45) and Shubman Gill (104) all stood tall to earn a win for one of the more inexperienced sides they are likely to put out in this series.

‘He’s absolutely ruthless’ – Nasser Hussain says Virat Kohli’s return will make India ruthless in the final three Tests against England

The third Test is set to get underway on February 15, in Rajkot. Ahead of the remainder of the series, former England captain was interviewed by the Daily Mail, and provided his thoughts on the matches so far, as well as what is to come.

Talking about the potential return of Virat Kohli to the Indian team for the remaining three Tests, Hussain said,

The one thing about India is that in three of their four innings they have been a bit sloppy. I know Rahul Dravid and he would have been ticking inside at some of the dismissals so far. India will think, ‘We keep on giving England a sniff here, let’s be more ruthless’. And the one thing Kohli is, is absolutely ruthless.

I hope he does come back because the only thing this series has been missing is the battle between Kohli and Jimmy Anderson. I’m looking forward to that.

Hussain also provided his thoughts on Zak Crawley’s controversial LBW dismissal in the second innings in Visakhapatnam, urging fans to trust the DRS technology despite captain Ben Stokes’ assertion that ‘technology got it wrong on this occasion’.
