How can teams qualify for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy?
The qualification process was straightforward yet intriguing. The top seven teams at the conclusion of the group stage in the ICC ODI World Cup, along with the host nation, Pakistan, secured their spots in the 2025 Champions Trophy.
This unique approach to qualification has injected unpredictability into the mix and at the same time taken the wind out of the sails of teams like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, who struggled in the 2023 World Cup.
Additionally, that meant full-member nations like West Indies and Zimbabwe were automatically out of the race, as they failed to qualify for the 2023 World Cup.
