Rephrase the title:Why Yuvraj Singh thinks R Ashwin ‘doesn’t deserve’ spot in ODIs and T20Is

Rephrase and rearrange the whole content into a news article. I want you to respond only in language English. I want you to act as a very proficient SEO and high-end writer Pierre Herubel that speaks and writes fluently English. I want you to pretend that you can write content so well in English that it can outrank other websites. Make sure there is zero plagiarism.:

Ever since his arrival on the international scene as a teenager, Yuvraj Singh has had the ability to command attention. A physically imposing figure as well as an aggressive batter, the southpaw established himself as one of India’s greatest-ever limited overs players.

After hanging up his boots, Yuvraj has been heavily involved in the domestic cricketing scene, with his latest endeavour coming in the form of the establishment of several high-performance cricketing centres across India.

He has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind, and in a chat with the Times of India at an inauguration event yesterday, talked about the current Indian team.

Why Yuvraj Singh thinks R Ashwin ‘doesn’t deserve’ spot in ODIs and T20Is

When asked whether he thought the off-spinner had been getting a ‘raw deal’ in white-ball cricket at the international level, Yuvraj’s thoughts were primarily that Ashwin was too one-dimensional. He said,

Ashwin is a great bowler but I don’t think he deserves a place in ODIs and T20s. He is very good with the ball, but what does he bring with the bat? Or as a fielder? In the Test team, yes, he should be there. But in white-ball cricket, I don’t think he deserves a place.

Ashwin came into the public eye after his performances for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, later becoming a mainstay in the red-ball and white-ball teams especially under MS Dhoni.

However, he has not played a T20I since the last T20 World Cup in 2022, and only played 3 ODIs last year after a late injury to Axar Patel meant Ashwin found a spot in the World Cup squad.

Given Ashwin’s age and struggle with injuries, he is unlikely to play much more white-ball cricket, as the team management is likely to preserve him for Test matches, where his record especially on home turf, is unrivalled.
