Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ records career’s biggest opening
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 15 (ANI): The highly-anticipated film ‘Tiger 3’, featuring Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, has smashed opening day records by minting a whopping Rs 44.50 crore on its release on November 12, with total collections reaching Rs 148.50 crore. The actor expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response from the audience and fans, saying, “Tiger is a franchise that is close to my heart. I’m delighted with the response from the audience and fans for Tiger 3! They have given the film a brilliant start and I’m happy that the third part of this franchise is also scripting a success story.”
Directed by Maneesh Sharma, ‘Tiger 3’ also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles, marking the third installment in the Tiger franchise and a part of the YRF Spy Universe, featuring cameo appearances from Shah Rukh Khan and a post-credit scene with Hrithik Roshan. The film follows the previous installments, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, focusing on a new mission for RA&W agent Tiger (Salman) and ISI agent Zoya (Katrina Kaif).
In an interview with Variety, Salman Khan shared insights on the challenges and highlights of shooting the film. He described the bike chasing scene as the toughest and expressed his enjoyment in shooting ‘Leke Prabhu Ka Naam’ in Cappadocia, a dance track that he personally loves. Proving the film to be a personal and emotional journey for the characters, Salman emphasized the audience’s connection with Tiger and the film’s release on Diwali day, inviting them to enjoy the fireworks on the big screen with their families in theatres.
