Hero MotoCorp, a leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has recorded a significant increase in sales for the month of October 2023. With a growth rate of 26.5% compared to the same period last year, the company sold a total of 574,930 units, up from 454,582 units. In a regulatory filing, Hero MotoCorp announced that motorcycle sales accounted for the majority of this growth, reaching 529,341 units in October 2023, compared to 419,568 units in October 2022, indicating a 26.2% increase. Moreover, scooter sales also experienced a notable surge, with 45,589 units sold in the month under review, in contrast to 35,014 units sold in the previous year, representing a growth rate of 30.2%.
Additionally, Hero MotoCorp witnessed a considerable expansion in its export volume for two-wheelers, as it recorded a 29% increase in October 2023. The company exported 15,164 units in the said month, while in the same period last year, it stood at 11,757 units.
Highlighting the company’s significant achievement, Hero MotoCorp announced the commencement of deliveries for its first co-developed premium motorcycle, the Harley-Davidson X440, during the Navratri festival. Demonstrating its popularity and demand, the company successfully sold 1,000 units across 100 dealerships in India as part of a mega deliveries drive.
