The India squads for an all-format tour of South Africa, set to begin on December 10 in Durban, have been announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have requested a break from the white-ball series, with Sharma leading the Indian team in the Test series, while KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav have been named the captains for the ODI and T20I series, respectively.
The tour will include three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests, beginning with the T20I series on December 10, followed by the ODI leg on December 17 in Johannesburg, and the Test series starting on Boxing Day, December 26, in Centurion.
India has never won a Test series in South Africa, making this upcoming assignment an important and challenging opportunity for the team.

It was also clarified by the BCCI that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had requested a break from the white-ball matches, and Mohammed Shami’s inclusion in the squad was subject to his fitness as he is currently recovering from an injury.
