Title: Rising Demand for Women Professionals in India Ahead of Festive Season, Reports apna.co

India has witnessed a significant increase of 61% in women applicants during the July-September period this year compared to the previous year, according to a report by leading jobs and professional networking platform apna.co. This surge in applications indicates a growing demand for women professionals across various industries as companies experience heightened activity during the festive season.

Sectors like e-commerce, retail, and hospitality are expected to see increased job opportunities for women professionals. The festive season has seen active participation from top companies such as Bajaj, Axis Bank, Paytm, Flipkart, and Reliance, who have offered attractive incentives to secure top talent.

The report highlights significant transformations in the job market landscape from 2022 to 2023, specifically in the top five job categories – telecalling, accounts, business development, marketing, and delivery. This shift further emphasizes the changing preferences of job seekers.

Nirmit Parikh, Founder and CEO of apna.co, acknowledged the rise in women applicants and changing job seeker preferences over the past year. He also anticipates further transformations in the employment landscape as the platform continues to empower professionals and bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.

Moreover, the report revealed that there were over 1.2 lakh job openings recorded in August and September 2023 across key Indian cities. This surge in hiring demand highlights the anticipation of companies ahead of the festive season.

City-wise demand reflected unique patterns. Delhi showed a preference for roles in Sales & Marketing, Customer Support & Sales, and Accounting Technician positions, while Mumbai displayed high demand for roles in Finance & HR, Sales & Marketing, and Business Development.

The increasing number of women applicants and the surge in job openings indicate promising prospects for women professionals in India. As the festive season approaches, companies are actively seeking top talent, creating valuable opportunities for women in the workforce.
