Report finds that Apple employees often move on to join Google or Amazon after leaving the company.

Posted on November 24, 2023 By Haley Bennett

In a recent report by LinkedIn, it has been revealed that Google is the top choice for former Apple employees who are seeking new job opportunities. This information comes after a study into the migration patterns of ex-Apple personnel within the tech industry. Surprisingly, Google has surpassed other tech giants like Amazon and Meta in attracting former Apple employees.

The ranking of top companies for former Apple employees is as follows:
1. Google
2. Amazon
3. Meta
4. Microsoft
5. Tesla
6. Nvidia
7. Salesforce
8. Adobe
9. Intel
10. Oracle

Moreover, the study also shed light on the sources from which Apple recruits its workforce. Intel emerged as the leading tech company whose former employees most frequently transitioned to Apple. The full rankings are as follows:

1. Intel
2. Microsoft
3. Amazon
4. Google
5. IBM
6. Oracle
7. Tesla
8. Nvidia
9. Adobe
10. Meta

Interestingly, the report revealed that Apple has a notably low recruitment rate from other tech companies, only hiring 5.7 percent of its employees from these tech giants. This is in stark contrast to other companies such as Meta, Google, and Salesforce, which have much higher recruitment rates. This data provides valuable insights into the dynamic movements and preferences within the tech industry talent pool.
