India reported 31 new cases of coronavirus in a single day, with 249 active cases, according to data from the Union Health Ministry on Sunday. The death toll was recorded at 5,33,298 as of 8 am that day. The country’s total Covid case tally reached 4.50 crore (4,50,01,764).
The number of recovered individuals increased to 4,44,68,217, resulting in a national recovery rate of 98.81%, as per the health ministry’s website. The case fatality rate stood at 1.19%.
The health ministry’s website also indicated that 220.67 crore doses of Covid vaccines have been administered in the country thus far.
