Report: Companies Embrace Flexibility, Confirming Hybrid Work Is Here to Stay

Posted on November 23, 2023February 17, 2026 By Corey Powell

As 2023 progresses, the integration of digital and physical workspaces has made collaboration tools an essential part of both internal employee dynamics and external client relationships. According to a report from GlobalData, a prominent data and analytics company, various sectors such as construction, insurance, banking and payments, technology and communications, and pharmaceuticals have started to post significant numbers of hybrid job roles during the third quarter of 2023.

The post-Covid-19 job trends depict a noticeable shift towards hybrid and flexible work models. As more sectors embrace this change, it is anticipated that these models may become the norm alongside traditional “in-office” roles. Sherla Sriprada, a Business Fundamentals Analyst at GlobalData, emphasized the strategic importance of embracing hybrid work models, stating that it is not merely a passing trend but a crucial aspect for companies navigating the changing landscape. Sriprada also noted that the growing presence of hybrid roles in diverse sectors represents a significant transformation in the way work is approached, promoting adaptability and resilience in the post-Covid-19 era.

The need for flexibility and adaptability in the workplace has become more pronounced as companies strive to find effective ways to blend physical and digital work environments. As this trend continues to evolve, it is clear that hybrid work models are here to stay, reshaping the traditional idea of work and setting new standards for future employment. With the ongoing evolution of the workspace, the importance of collaboration tools and flexible work models is set to become a defining aspect of the modern work environment.
