Tata Electronics Becomes First Indian Company to Manufacture Apple iPhones
In a groundbreaking move, Tata Electronics is set to become the first Indian company to produce the latest Apple iPhones within the country. This significant milestone comes after Tata Group acquired Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Wistron’s India operations for $125 million. Currently, production and assembly of the iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 12, and the second-generation iPhone SE are underway at Wistron’s facility in Karnataka.
