Servotech Power Systems, a leading company in the power industry, has announced plans to revolutionize the electric vehicle charging landscape in India. The company revealed its ambitious goal to install 5,000 EV charging stations across the country. To achieve this, Servotech Power Systems has established a subsidiary called Servotech EV Infra, which will operate as a Charge Point Operator (CPO) for these EV chargers.
According to the company, this strategic move is a response to the expected rapid growth of the EV charging market in India. With the government aiming for 30% of all vehicles to be electric by 2030, Servotech EV Infra is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend. The company emphasized its strong track record and expertise in EV charging technology, highlighting its readiness to play a significant role in advancing the EV infrastructure landscape.
Raman Bhatia, the Founder and Managing Director of Servotech Power Systems, expressed his confidence in this new venture, stating, “This will prove to be a significant game changer. The expansion into the EV CPO business with Servotech EV Infra reflects our dedication to playing an important role in advancing the EV infrastructure landscape, catering to the growing number of EVs in the country.” The company is investing Rs 300 crore to set up an EV charger manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh, aligning with the state’s Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022.
Servotech Power Systems’ bold initiative signals its commitment to driving progress in the EV industry and reinforces its position as a key player in shaping the future of electric mobility in India.
