Who is Federico Redondo?
Federico is the son of former Real Madrid and AC Milan star Fernando Redondo and emerged from Argentinos Juniors’ youth system before making his senior debut for the club in 2022.
During the 2022/23 season, he featured in 45 matches across all competitions, managing two goals and two assists.
According to transfers specialist Fabrizio Romano, the MLS club has completed the signing of Redondo from Argentinos Juniors for $8 million (£6.3m/€7.4m).

Redondo was previously heavily linked to Bayern Munich but will not be joining the German champions as they opted against submitting a formal bid during the January transfer window.
He is expected to secure one of the three U22 spots at the club, meaning only $200,000 of his salary will count towards the overall cap.
