England have made two changes to its squad for the fourth Test against India, aiming to bounce back from a heavy defeat in Rajkot. The announcement, made on Thursday, sees pace bowler Ollie Robinson and off-spinner Shoaib Bashir included in the lineup, replacing Mark Wood and leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed, respectively.

Shoaib Bashir, who made his Test debut in Vishakapatnam, impressed with four crucial wickets, including those of captain Rohit Sharma and centurion Shubman Gill. Although being overlooked for the third Test, Bashir has been given another opportunity to showcase his talent on the international stage.

Despite middling performances with the bat, Jonny Bairstow retains his spot in the squad, indicating the team’s faith in the experienced player. Speculation surrounding the inclusion of middle-order batter Dan Lawrence has been dispelled, with the team opting for continuity over change.

Furthermore, England have decided to persist with 41-year-old pacer James Anderson, despite calls for him to be rested. Anderson’s wealth of experience and skill make him a valuable asset to the team, even in the twilight of his career.

Bet here on the upcoming India vs England Test series and other cricket matches!

With the series finely poised, England will be eager to regroup and put in a strong performance in Ranchi to level the series ahead of the final game in Dharamsala.
