Rephrase the title:How is Dharamshala Cricket Stadium getting ready for the India vs England Test?

On Thursday, March 7, India and England will face off in the final Test match of their bilateral series at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. India are currently 3-1 up in the series.

Bet here on India vs England and other cricket matches!

England landed in India on January 25, hoping to become the first team in nearly 12 years to defeat India in a Test series on their own turf. They started well, winning by 28 runs in Hyderabad as Ollie Pope and Tom Hartley put in stellar showings.

After that, it was all India. The hosts hit back with victory in Visakhapatnam, before moving on to secure a record 434-run win in Rajkot. The fourth Test concluded in Ranchi on Monday, as Dhruv Jurel and Shubman Gill took India home in a tricky fourth-innings chase of 192.

The fifth Test will be a dead rubber for the series, but points in the World Test Championship are still at stake for both sides. England need the points more, as they languish second from bottom in the table as it stands.

The HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala is known for its picturesque setting, at a high altitude with a backdrop of the Himalayan mountain range. However, it was the focus of the recently-concluded World Cup, for all the wrong reasons.

Due to a fungus infection in the outfield, the entire ground had to be relaid, just two weeks prior to the start of the World Cup. This led to a substandard outfield, which was sandy and rocky in several parts. There were serious injury concerns around diving on the ground, when players were in action.

However, the stadium authorities have been hard at work since then, and the new pictures of the ground ahead of the fifth Test are promising. This stadium was the first in India to make use of the more durable ryegrass for the outfield, with most in the country using Bermuda grass.

HPCA officials confirm that new reygrass has been grown in the stadium, now no issues.
