“K Srikkanth praises Rinku Singh’s street smarts, comparing him to Dhoni as a small-town boy”

Posted on November 24, 2023February 17, 2026 By Corey Powell

India and Australia faced off in the first T20I of their five-match bilateral series in Visakhapatnam. Australia batted first and scored 208/3, with Josh Inglis leading the charge with a century. However, India’s Ishan Kishan and captain Suryakumar Yadav put on a 112-run partnership to keep India in the game. Rinku Singh then came in as the number six batter and led India to victory with an unbeaten 22 from 14 balls, hitting the final delivery for a six.

On the following day, former cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth praised Rinku Singh’s performance, comparing him to MS Dhoni for his street smarts and ability to adapt. Despite playing only three innings in his international career so far, Rinku has proven to be a reliable finisher, especially in the IPL. His knack for chasing runs has raised questions about whether India has uncovered a new finisher in the young cricketer.

The article also touches on India’s upcoming matches in the bilateral series against Australia, providing an opportunity for readers to make cricket predictions and stay updated on the latest cricket scores and fixtures.
