The 2023 AFC Asian Cup begins on January 12, with host nation Qatar facing Lebanon at Lusail Stadium, where the 2022 World Cup final was held.

The tournament will then run for a month until the champions of Asia are crowned following the final on February 10. In total, 24 nations will compete for the prize, which has been won by only nine different countries since its inception in 1956.

Qatar are the holders, having won the trophy for the first time in 2019, but they are not among the favourites for success in 2024. Four-time champions Japan, captained by Liverpool’s Wataru Endo, are considered the top contenders alongside a South Korea side boasting the star talents of Son Heung-min, Lee Kang-in and Kim Min-jae.

Keen to watch the action unfold? Here is how you can catch all the matches via TV and live stream in Indonesia, plus how the schedule will look for the next month or so.

How to watch Asian Cup in Indonesia: Live stream, TV channel

The rights-holding broadcaster for Indonesia for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup is MNC Media. The network is the traditional home of the biggest football competitions at club and international level, including the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, the AFC Champions League, and this year’s upcoming Euro 2024 finals in Germany.

As part of an agreement renewed in 2019, MNC will show not only every Indonesia match, but all neutral games in the biggest AFC competitions. That means Vision+ is the place to get all the Asian Cup action in 2023.

Matches at the AFC Asian Cup 2023 will be broadcast on the MNC Soccer Channel, beginning with the opening game between Qatar and Lebanon on January 12. It’s channel 101 on MNC Vision, or channel 420 in HD.

Fans can also stream through Vision+, which is available via web browser and on selected mobile devices for subscribers.
