Property prices in Gurugram are set to soar by a staggering 70 per cent as new collector rates have been put forth by the district administration for the year 2024, prompting officials to invite objections from the public until December 7. The proposed rates, published on the district administration’s website, will be open for objections and suggestions until the specified date, after which the collector rates will be submitted to the government.
According to District Revenue Officer Poonam Babbar, the objections raised will be taken into consideration, with various committees set to review the feedback and refine the proposed rates before forwarding them to the state government. As part of the proposed changes, the rates for agricultural and commercial land in Badshahpur are expected to see a substantial 40 to 80 per cent increase, while Farrukhnagar could witness a hike of 87 per cent for agricultural land and 35 per cent for commercial land. In the Wazirabad tehsil area, changes have been recommended for 61 to 70 per cent of residential and commercial land.
